Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
ABA is the process of systematically applying interventions to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree (Baer, Wolf & Risley, 1968.)
In other words, ABA is the application of evidence-based, empirically validated interventions to everyday situations that meaningfully and positively improve the lives of individuals.
What can ABA do to help my child?
ABA has been used to help individuals acquire multiple social significant behaviors. Such as language, reading, academics, social skills, play skills and communications. As well as gross and fine motor skills, eating and food preparation, toileting, dressing, personal self-care, domestic skills, time and punctuality, money and value and more.

What does ABA therapy focus on?
ABA strongly focuses on parent training and family involvement. Therapy sessions are held in the setting where the individual is struggling the most (I.e., home, school, grandparents' house, recreational facilities, supermarket, etc.) With personalized and positive contributions from our committed and qualified staff members.

Can ABA decrease negative behaviors?
Yes, ABA can help decrease many maladaptive behaviors such as aggression, noncompliance, tantrums, self-injurious behavior, and self-stimulatory behaviors. ABA can curtail these negative qualities in children and young adults in a healthy and constructive manner.

How do I know ABA works?
ABA is classified as data-driven. Data is collected and analyzed continuously throughout consultation to ensure all individualized goals are being achieved for each client. This data is a tangible way to track progress, compare strengths vs weaknesses, and attainable create goals.

What is ABA Therapy?ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a therapy based on the science of how people learn and behave. It helps individuals build useful skills and reduce behaviors that interfere with daily life. Often used with children on the autism spectrum, it’s also effective for people with a variety of learning or behavioral challenges. ABA uses reinforcement, data, and personalized goals to create meaningful, lasting change.
-
Is ABA Therapy Effective?Yes. ABA therapy is backed by decades of research and is considered the gold standard for treating Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral issues. It can improve communication, learning, independence, and social skills — especially when started early and delivered consistently.
-
When Should My Child Start ABA Therapy? The earlier, the better. ABA is most effective when started in the toddler or preschool years, but it’s also beneficial for older children, teens, and adults. It’s never too late to start — therapy is always tailored to the individual’s age, needs, and goals.
-
Is ABA Therapy Only for Children with Autism? No. While ABA is most commonly used for children with autism, it’s also helpful for individuals with ADHD, developmental delays, anxiety, and other behavioral or communication challenges. The techniques are highly adaptable and useful for many needs and age groups.

What Is an ABA Assessment? An ABA assessment is the first step in developing your child’s therapy plan. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will observe your child, talk with you about concerns and goals, and use structured tools to understand strengths and challenges. From there, we create a personalized treatment plan built around your child’s unique needs.
-
What Does a Typical ABA Session Look Like?ABA sessions vary by age and goals, but they usually include a mix of structured learning, play, and real-life skills. Therapists work one-on-one with your child and may also involve siblings or parents depending on the setting. Every session includes data tracking and progress review.
-
How Many Hours Per Week Is Typical? The number of hours depends on your child’s needs and goals. Some children benefit from 10–15 hours per week, while others may have more intensive plans (25–40 hours/week). We’ll work with you to build a schedule that fits your child and your family.
-
How Long Does ABA Therapy Last?ABA therapy is highly individualized, so the duration varies from child to child. Your BCBA will recommend a plan based on your child’s needs and adjust it as they grow and progress.

Who Provides the Therapy?ABA services are provided by trained professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). BCBAs oversee the plan and adjust it as needed, while RBTs often deliver day-to-day sessions under supervision

How Are Parents Involved in ABA Therapy?Parents and caregivers play a key role. We’ll teach you how to support your child’s progress using ABA techniques at home. What Are Parent Training Sessions?Parent training is part of our service model. These sessions give you practical tools to respond to behaviors, encourage skill-building, and support your child outside of formal therapy time. It empowers families and ensures the progress continues in everyday life.

What’s the Difference Between At-Home and At-School ABA Therapy?At-home ABA happens in the child’s natural environment. It focuses on things like routines, communication, and behavior within the family setting. At-school ABA takes place in the classroom during the school day.
